Active Wicklow at Greystones South Beach: A Celebration of Movement and Community

Active Wicklow at Greystones South Beach: A Celebration of Movement and Community

On a sun-drenched day, Greystones' South Beach came alive with the energy of #ActiveWicklow, organized by Wicklow Local Sports Partnership. The event brought together locals of all ages, enjoying the variety of activities against the backdrop of the Irish coastline. From families playing games on the sand to joggers along the shore, every corner of the beach reflected the spirit of wellness and togetherness. In my photos, I captured the essence of these moments—the natural flow of movement and leisure, framed by the golden light of the day. People shared smiles, enjoyed the sea breeze, and relished their time outdoors, illustrating how Greystones embraces an active, healthy lifestyle.

Each snapshot in this documentary-style series offers a glimpse into the dynamic way people connect with both their community and nature. Whether it was a child flying a kite, a group stretching before a run, or friends chatting over coffee by the sea, the day revealed a vibrant pulse of outdoor life.

Dublin in 2014 – An Archival Journey Through the City in Black and White | Olympus Trip 35 and Kodak T-Max 400

The year 2014 was a time of experimentation with analog photography for me, and I discovered the beauty of capturing scenes in black and white. This time, I took out my Olympus Trip 35 and loaded it with Kodak T-Max 400, a film perfect for highlighting details and contrasts. The result was a series of archival photographs showcasing Dublin in a timeless, monochrome perspective.
